Authenticator App "we", "us", "our" is committed to maintaining customer privacy through an ethical performance culture that is based on trust, simplicity and confidence. It is one of Authenticator 's core principles to secure customer information while using our mobile applications ("products"), and provide privacy protection that is critical in maintaining trust and providing better services.

We hope the following statement helps you understand how our app handles personally identifiable information that you occasionally provide to us over the Internet (Android platform).

Generally, we do not collect any personally identifiable information from you when you download and use our application. Specifically, we do not require users to register and log in when using the application, we do not track user visits to our application, and we do not even have servers to store this information.

Information we collect

  • Device: When you download and use the Authenticator app, we automatically collect information about the type of device you have downloaded the app on and your device identifier. We collect this to ensure we deliver the right version of the app for your device and so that we can provide appropriate follow up support as necessary.
  • Analytics: We use a third party analytics tool, Google Analytics, to help us measure traffic and usage trends for the service. Google Analytics collects information such as how often users visit our services, what pages they visit when they do so, and what other pages they use prior to coming to our services. We use the information we get from Google Analytics only to improve our services.
  • Usage Data: When you use our token to help your login, we may automatically gather your username from your third-party account such as Twitter, Instagram. Permitting us to access this third party information can help you to maximise your App experience, and we will handle any such third-party information in accordance with this Privacy Policy.
  • Log file: The only situation we may get access to your personally identifiable information is when you personally decide to email us your feedback or to provide us with a bug log report. The personally identifiable information we may get from you in that situation are strictly limited to your name, email address, device information, location Information and your survey response only.

Notably, we shall only use this information for collecting feedback and improve your experience, and we will not store them in our service.

App Permission

In order to make some features available, we need permissions of your devices below:

CAMERA PERMISSION - To bind your third party accounts to our app for 2-step authentication, we will ask a camera permission to scan your ID code from these accounts. This permission is only for scanning QR code. We will not obtain any other information from your device and third party accounts.

STORAGE PERMISSION - when you need to use the 2-step authentication feature in our app, we need this permission to access your local gallery to get photos with QR code. We will not modify or delete the content in your local media storage.

How we use your information

In the above situation, we guarantee that your personal identifiable information will only be used for contacting you and improving our services. We will never use such information (e.g. your name and email address) for any other purposes, such as to further market our products, or to disclose your personal information to a third party for commercial gains.

Children

These Services do not address anyone under the age of 14. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 14. In the case we discover that a child under 14 has provided us with personal information, we immediately delete this from our servers. If you are a parent or guardian and you are aware that your child has provided us with personal information, please contact us so that we will be able to do the necessary actions.
